The Future of Painless Medical Care
CRYO-S Painless — Advanced Cryoneurolysis for Chronic Pain Management
CRYO-S Painless is the most technologically versatile cryoneurolysis system designed for anesthesiologists, orthopedists, neurosurgeons, and pain management experts. It delivers safe, targeted, and long-lasting pain relief by using controlled cold to deactivate pain-transmitting nerves — without damaging tissue or requiring surgery.
Cryoanalgesia – freedom from chronic pain.
Advantages of cryoanalgesia
- It affects the reduction of doses or withdrawal of strong painkillers.
- Immediate pain reduction - already during the procedure.
- Pain reduction from 6 months to 2 years – depending on the indications and the patient.
- It can be repeated as many times as the pain returns.
- Excellent visibility of the procedure in the ultrasound - probe, ice zone.
- Used in a combination of ultrasound and X-Ray.
- Safe: no formation of scar tissue, no risk of proliferation and obliteration of blood vessels, does not destroy muscle tissue, fascia, adipose tissue.
- Excellent for neuromas caused by other procedures: neurotomy, thermolesion, amputation.
Clinical use
- Chest wall pain, chest pain after thoracotomy, mastectomy.
- Facial pain, such as trigeminal neuralgia, other neuralgias.
- Occipital neuralgia, suprascapular neuralgia, ilioinguinal neuralgia and other types of neuralgia.
- Degeneration of the intervertebral joints (facet syndrome).
- Pain and spasticity of the upper and lower limbs, denervation of the knee, shoulder, hip.
- Phantom pain.
- Painful neuromas (amputations, post-surgical neuromas, Morton's neuromas).
- Localized pain associated with cancer.
CRYO-S Painless provides immediate visible reduction in spasticity, allowing both the clinician and patient to see the effect during the procedure without waiting for follow-up assessments.
The treatment is minimally invasive and safe, requiring only a small entry point and ultrasound guidance, with no surgical incision or complex recovery process.
Unlike chemical neurolysis, the procedure carries no risk of thrombosis, making it safer for patients with vascular conditions or those on anticoagulant therapy.
CRYO-S Painless preserves the nerve sheath, preventing neuroma formation and reducing the chance of secondary nerve pain after treatment.
The results are long-lasting, typically 6 to 8 months, and the procedure can be repeated safely without damaging the nerve or surrounding tissue.
It is suitable for sensory, motor, and mixed nerves, offering flexibility to treat a wide range of spasticity-related symptoms.
Multiple muscles can be treated in a single session, improving clinical efficiency and supporting faster rehabilitation progress.

The best cryoprobes in the world
The thinnest cryoanalgesia cryoprobes available in the global pain management market. We offer both disposable and reusable, easy-to-sterilize (steam) cryoprobes. The special and patented design allows precise freezing and quick defrosting. The shape of the probe and the different designs of the freezing parts make it possible to freeze nerves regardless of their location and diameter.
CRYO-S Painless
Easy mode switching
Probe mode selection, cleaning and freezing can be performed automatically via a foot switch or a convenient touchscreen, allowing the treatment site to be kept in sterile conditions.
RFiD
RFiD – electronic communication between the probe and the device allows for the recognition of optimal operating parameters and automatic configuration to the characteristics of the cryoprobe. The gas pressure and flow are set automatically, and manual adjustment is not necessary.
Automated Testing System
It is equipped with an automatic probe testing system and two freezing modes (continuous and sequential). The probe testing system includes automatic cleaning and short freezing test.
Voice communication
Built-in voice communication makes the work easier. A system informing about key data during the procedure.
Safe freezing
Built-in diagnostic nerve stimulation helps distinguish between sensory and motor nerves. This prevents the motor nerves from accidentally freezing.
Two working mediums
The working medium for CRYO-S Painless is carbon dioxide CO2 (-78°C) or nitrous oxide N2O (-89°C), very efficient and easy-to-use gases.
Cryoprobes
Accuracy
Cryoprobes are coated with medical Teflon. Therefore, stimulation is carried out only at the tip of the probe.
Visible under ultrasound
The ice zone and all cryoprobes are visible on ultrasound images – they are hyperechoic.
Diversity
The largest range of cryoprobes allows you to find the best solution.
User-friendly interface
CRYO-S Painless is controlled by a microprocessor, and all parameters are displayed and monitored on the LCD screen. Cryoprobe temperature, cylinder pressure, gas flow inside the cryoprobe and the treatment time are displayed during freezing.
CRYO-S PAINLESS, the most modern cryosurgical device manufactured by METRUM CRYOFLEX, is a new generation device used by many experts in the field since 1992.
