What is Cryoneurolysis?
Cryoanalgesia is a minimally invasive pain management technique that uses ultra-low temperatures to temporarily block pain transmission by freezing targeted nerves.

How It Works
Low temperatures are applied via a cryoprobe to cause axonotmesis — temporary nerve fiber interruption without structural destruction. The nerve regenerates at approximately 1 mm/day, offering pain relief for 6 months to 2 years depending on the condition. Procedures are typically done under local anesthesia or ultrasound guidance.

Advantages of cryoanalgesia
- Cryoneolysis can be used for sensory, mixed and motor nerves responsible for dystonia, increased muscle tension with often accompanying pain symptoms.
- Cryoneurolysis allows for the simultaneous treatment of many more muscles, including all muscles from the nerve stem, compared to other chemical neurolysis techniques.
- Cryoneurolysis destroys only the part of the nerve responsible for transmitting the sensorimotor impulse. It spares adjacent tissues, blood vessel and does not cause the risk of thrombosis compared to chemical neurolyses.
- Cryoneurolysis spares the nerve sheath and allows the nerve to regenerate – it does not form a neuroma, it does not cause secondary pain.
- Cryoneurolysis works immediately. Already during its performance, the muscles relax. There is no need for another follow-up visit to be sure of the effect of the treatment. The patient can immediately start the rehabilitation process.
- Cryoneurolysis is an ideal method for ultrasound-guided performance. The location of the nerve can be confirmed using the same neurostimulation probe, and the visible ice zone during freezing reassures the doctor of the correct location of the probe in relation to the nerve.
- Cryoneurolysis can be repeated any number of times. The effectiveness depends on the degree of spasticity. Positive effects are obtained between 6 to 8 months after one treatment session.

Easy mode switching
Probe mode selection, cleaning and freezing can be performed automatically via a foot switch or a convenient touchscreen, allowing the treatment site to be kept in sterile conditions.
RFiD
RFiD – electronic communication between the probe and the device allows for the recognition of optimal operating parameters and automatic configuration to the characteristics of the cryoprobe. The gas pressure and flow are set automatically, and manual adjustment is not necessary.
Automated Testing System
It is equipped with an automatic probe testing system and two freezing modes (continuous and sequential). The probe testing system includes automatic cleaning and short freezing test.
